Why a Professional Pour
What looks like a flat gray rectangle is actually engineering. Mix, sub-base, reinforcement, and finish all have to be right, or the problems show up later.
Load-Rated
A shed needs 4" with fiber mesh. A garage floor with vehicle traffic needs 5–6" with rebar. A hot tub pad needs reinforced edges. We spec each pour to the load it'll carry, not a generic minimum.
Stable Sub-Base
A compacted gravel sub-base with proper drainage prevents settling, cracking, and frost heave. Skip it and your slab moves. We don't skip it.

How We Pour
A slab is only as good as the prep underneath. Here's how we sequence a pour that lasts.
Tom measures the pad location, assesses access, reviews the intended use, and spec's the pour (thickness, PSI, reinforcement). You get a line-item quote with the full spec.
Pull permits where required. Excavate to frost depth or spec depth, haul away spoil, and prep the hole for base material.
Lay and compact gravel sub-base, install vapor barrier if specified, set clean forms with proper height and pitch for drainage.
Rebar or fiber mesh per spec, then the pour. Level, screed, float, edge, and joint-cut at the right time. Monolithic pours finish in one continuous session.
Cure protection where weather dictates. For pours needing inspection, we coordinate with the township. Walk-through with you before we leave.

Depends on the use. Shed slab: 4". Garage floor: 5–6". Equipment pad: 4" with thickened edges. House foundation: per engineered spec. We size it to the load, not a one-size minimum.
Most South Jersey townships require a permit for slabs over a certain size (often 100–200 sq ft) or for any structure the slab supports. We pull the permit and coordinate inspection where required.
Walk on it in 24 hours, light loads in 3–7 days, full structural load in 28 days (the full concrete cure cycle). For time-sensitive projects we can spec high-early-strength mixes.
Fiber mesh is enough for slabs under light loads (sheds, sidewalks, thin pads). Rebar is required for heavier loads (garage floors, foundations, monolithic pours). We spec what's right, not what's cheapest.
Yes. For additions, porches, decks, and small-structure builds we pour footings, foundation walls, and slabs to NJ code. We coordinate with your GC or architect on spec.
We pour most of the year, but we won't pour in weather that compromises cure quality. Late fall and winter pours may require cold-weather admixtures, insulated blankets, or heated enclosures, all factored into the quote.
