Why a Concrete Walkway

Three reasons concrete wins for walkways.

Safety, curb appeal, and a lifespan that outlasts pavers or asphalt, without the maintenance burden.

Safety First

Level, no trip hazards.

Proper base compaction and consistent joint spacing prevent the lifting and settling that turn old walkways into tripping hazards. Slip-resistant finishes available for wet areas.

  • Level Grading
  • ADA Options

Curb Appeal

First impression upgrade.

A clean, well-formed walkway guides the eye to your front door and sets the tone for the whole property. Stamped or colored options for premium finishes.

  • Broom
  • Stamped
  • Colored

30+ Year Lifespan

Outlasts pavers, asphalt, stone.

A properly poured, reinforced, and jointed concrete walkway lasts three decades with minimal maintenance, no re-sanding joints, no re-sealing every year.

  • Fiber Mesh

Finish Options

Pick the look that fits your property.

Broom finish is the standard. But stamped and colored walkways are where a front path becomes a feature.

  • Broom finish: the classic traction surface, best for daily foot traffic
  • Stamped: mimics brick, slate, flagstone, or cobblestone patterns
  • Integrally colored: pigmented through the slab for fade-resistant tone
  • Exposed aggregate: decorative pebble texture for garden paths
  • Salt finish: subtle texture with extra grip in wet conditions
  • Smooth trowel: a clean, modern look for covered entries and porches

How We Pour

Five steps from estimate to finish.

A walkway is the smallest pour on the price list and the most visible one on your property. Here's how we make sure it's right.

  1. 01

    Free On-Site Estimate

Tom walks the route, measures, discusses finish and edging, and delivers a clear line-item quote, usually same week.

  2. 02

    Demolition & Grading

Remove the existing walk (if needed), haul away debris, excavate, and lay a compacted sub-base so the new walk sits level for decades.

  3. 03

    Forming & Reinforcement

Clean forms shape the walkway. Fiber mesh and/or rebar sized to the pour keep the slab together through the years.

  4. 04

    Pour & Finish

Reinforced 4,000 PSI pour, troweled flat, then the finish you chose (broom, stamped, colored). Control joints cut while the slab is still workable.

  5. 05

    Cure & Walk-Through

We walk it with you. Edges clean, joints straight, finish consistent, fixed before you sign off.

Built on Trust

35+ years of showing up, finishing strong, standing behind the work.

Our reputation in South Jersey wasn't built on marketing. It was built on 1,500+ homeowners who called us back, told their neighbors, and left their porch lights on when we needed an early start. That's the standard we pour to.

Still have a question?

Call Tom Eissler directly. Most calls are answered the same day.

Most residential walkways are completed in 1–3 days from demo to finish, depending on length. Cure time adds a few more days before heavy foot traffic.

Township rules vary. Sidewalks in the public right-of-way (between your property line and the street) almost always require a permit and must meet town specs. We pull the permit and handle the inspection for you.

Yes. We install ADA-compliant ramps and pathways with proper slope, landing areas, and slip-resistant textures for safe, barrier-free access.

We match broom direction, joint spacing, and color to tie new work into existing walks. For a truly seamless match on older sidewalks, we can tint the mix or apply a stain.

Standard foot-traffic walkways are poured 4" thick over a 4" compacted sub-base. We go thicker (5–6") for walks that see occasional vehicle traffic, like a walk crossing a driveway.

Yes, fully licensed in New Jersey and insured for liability and workers' comp. Certificates of insurance available on request.
